Bear Spring Camps -  Located in Rome, Bear Spring Camps offers an abundance of waterfront cabins located on the shores of Great Pond.  Bear Spring Camps has special meaning to Andrew as his extended family (the Moshers) founded the camp, and it remains in the extended family today.  The sporting camp is located on Jamaica Point Road where Andrew grew up, and it sits along 2800 ft. of shoreline on his home lake (Great Pond).  Andrew's mother and aunts all worked at Bear Spring Camps in some capacity while they were growing up.  This is a wonderful sporting camp, with great owners and its located within 15 miles of Water's Edge Guide Service.  Visit their website at www.bearspringcamps.com or call (207) 397-2341

Kawanhee Inn & Cottages - Located in Weld, the Kawanhee Inn provides several lakefront cabins and also offers a handfull of rooms in the main lodge.  The inn is located on the shores of Webb Lake; a gorgeous body of water located in the Mt. Blue State Park region.  Gorgeous views of Tumbledown Mtn. and Mt. Lakeshore - Located in Livermore, Lakeshore offers hotel style lodging along the shores of Long Pond.  The hotel boasts a guest house and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  The Castonguay family has recently renovated the rooms at Lakeshore, appointing them with radiant heat, air conditioning, high speed internet, as well as all new appliances and televisions.  Long Pond offers anglers opportunites for Brown Trout and Smallmouth Bass.  Anglers can enjoy fishing the lake and returning via boat to dine on the wonderful food at Lakeshore.  The Castonguay's are very friendly, and our communication with them has been most pleasant.  Water's Edge Guide Service is located within 20 miles of this establishment.  Visit their website at www.campstorent.com/lakeshore or call (207) 897-7100.

Sunset Camps - Located in Smithfield, Sunset Camps is situated along the shores of North Pond.  Cottages for rent are located along the inlet to North Pond, but the camp owns frontage on the pond.  Several small stores are located nearby, and all of the cottages are housekeeping (bring your own food).  North Pond offers anglers opportunities for Northern Pike, Small and Large Mouth Bass and perch.  Water's Edge Guide Service is located within 15 miles.  Visit their website at www.sunsetcamps.com or call them at (207) 362-2611

Trips to the Moosehead Region:

West Branch Pond Camps - Located north and east of Greenville, West Branch Pond Camps is nestled along the shores of West Branch Pond in the shadow of White Cap Mtn.  Owner/manager Eric Stirling carries on a rich family tradition of running this sporting camp, and he does it with backcountry class.  The camps were recently featured in Downeast Magazine, and the place is simply fantastic.  Several log cabins built in the traditional "true log" fashion, look out over this fly fishing only pond with sweeping mountain views.  Eric (the owner) graduated from Andrew's alma mater Bates College the year before Andrew enrolled.  If your journey with Water's Edge should bring you to this region of the state, we highly recommend seeking a reservation at this wonderful sporting camp.  Visit their website at www.westbranchpondcamps.com or call (207) 695-2561.

Trips to the Carrabassett Valley Region:

Claybrook Mountain Lodge - Located in Highland Plantation, Claybrook Mtn. Lodge is tucked in the mountains of Maine in an area that is often overlooked.  Greg and Pat Drummond purchased the old farm complex and have converted it into a fabulous lodge that will have you feeling at home even before you've unpacked your bags.  The lodge offers a variety of activities and it is located near several fishing hotspots that Water's Edge frequents.  Greg is an accomplished outdoorsman, guide and former boat builder, while Pat cooks up fantastic meals that will have you begging for another plate......or maybe two.  Quite by accident, Andrew recently discovered that Pat & Greg (both formerly of Oakland and Sidney) graduated two years ahead of his parents at Messalonskee High School.  If your trip with Water's Edge should take you to the Carrabasset Valley region, we suggest that you take advantage of the fine hospitality that the Drummond's offer up.  Visit them online at www.claybrookmountainlodge.com or call them at (207) 628-4681

Trips to the Bethel/Sunday River Region:

Austin's Holidae House - Located the heart of Bethel, this Victorian Era Inn offers comfort, convenience, and value.  Rich in history, the Holidae House was built in 1902 by a local lumber baron, and was the first house in Bethel to receive electricity.  The inn has seven  "Delightful Rooms" according to the Boston Globe, and is minutes from Sunday River ski resort.  Breakfasts at the inn are equally as lovely as the facility itself.  Dine on scrumptious selections prepared with local eggs, Maine maple syrup, and a host of other Maine delights.  The upper reaches of the Androscoggin River which are just down the road, offer anglers excellent opportunities for Rainbow Trout.  If your guided trip with Water's Edge brings you to the Bethel region, we highly recommend checking this place out.  Visit them online at www.holidae-house.com or call them at (207) 824-3400

Bethel Hill Bed & Breakfast - Located in a quiet spot on Broad Street just beyond Bethel Hill Common, this lovely B&B was recently renovated in 2005.  The facility features guest suites with comfortable sitting areas and private baths; each has a whirlpool tub with shower. Trips to the Lewiston/Auburn & Oxford Hills Region:

King's Hill Inn - Located in South Paris, this 200 year old farm has been lovingly restored into a fabulous inn.  The property is graced by extensive gardens, a large post and beam barn, and a small chapel.  The rooms are cozy, the dining room large yet inviting, and the mountain views are to die for.  Much of the original farm details have been preserved, leaving the guests feeling as if they've stepped back in time.  While the inn offers up the feeling of days gone by, it does not lack in modern amenities, bringing together the best of both past and present.  If your travels with Water's Edge should bring you to the Oxford Hills area, be sure to give Janice and Glenn a call.  Visit them online at www.kingshillinn.com  or call them at (207) 744-0204
